Forensic Psychology Course

The Brief
The Open University approached us to create a series of film materials for their Forensic Psychology courses, in which they required dramatic reconstructions and expert analysis to be captured in a series of video assets.
Concept, Production & Delivery
After working with the forensic psychology experts on scripting, we collated a series of props and pre production materials for filming the police board of a murder investigation. We then spent 3 days filming the different aspects of the investigation, including the suspect interrogations, and police briefings. We concluded by filming our experts delving deep into analysing the forensic behaviours and approaches of the police in the investigation and how it impacts responses.
The Outcome
We delivered a slate of ten films that took viewers through every stage of the investigation. The series provided students with an immersive and authentic learning experience, combining cinematic reconstructions with insightful commentary from leading forensic psychology experts. The finished materials have since become a key teaching resource within the Forensic Psychology courses. By blending drama with academic insight, the films successfully brought complex psychological principles to life, helping learners understand how forensic theories translate into real-world investigative practice. a great example of why videos are helpful tools in online learning resources!
