The Brief
We worked with Ipeco to produce a film that showcases the many different areas of the company, with a storyline that connects the brand’s heritage, manufacturing process and future in one cohesive piece. The challenge? Working in a live manufacturing environment ensuring the authenticity of the company’s workforce.
Concept, Production & Delivery
With over 60 years in the aircraft seating manufacturing business, Ipeco have strong family brand values which were important to have flowing through their film. The large Southend based site had a lot of department to showcase. Within our scripting, we carefully linked each department through the use of sliding shots, match cuts, and on screen graphics. We completed 2 site visits to check our visuals worked with what we had planned. Then it was time for filming. A 4 day shoot meant we could focus on getting the shots we needed in each department. Our final day was for the dramatic opening sequence of seeing a finished aircraft seat zoom down the test rig, showcasing the products quality and durability. In the edit we used speed ramps, an archive style timeline animation, a sleek voiceover and sound effects to bring the film to life.
The Outcome
A story driven 3 minute film that uses dynamic shots to link departments, creating the family feel of the company. Utilising a graphic through line highlights the core values of the company, whilst focussing on accessibility - working both mute and with sound. Enabling the film to work in every environment including trade shows and online promotion. A film that makes Ipeco stand out against competitors.
