Southampton Hospitals Charity

The Brief
Southampton Hospitals Charity wanted a film to showcase at the auction of their fundraising art trail which focussed around how much the surrounding environment can affect a child’s hospital experience.
Concept, Production & Delivery
The team worked with Southampton Hospitals Charity to work quickly in a short time frame to deliver the film ready for the auction event - just 2 weeks to be precise! 3 days of filming took place - 1 day on the art trail around Southampton, followed by interview content with Jessica, mum to Harvey-Lee, a former patient at the University Hospital Southampton and some of the staff members of the charity and the hospital to illustrate how essential funding is for them. Filming supporting footage of the redecoration of the ward was challenging, due to the confidentially of the patients who were on the ward, but thankfully with some pre production planning, we thought that having Jessica and Harvey-Lee visit the ward was a good way to show the changes, as well as their reaction to the difference it had made to the space.
The Outcome
A film that encompasses patient testimonial with staff interviews to make the needs of the charity resonate with the audience, really showcasing the benefit of their work and why it needs to continue to be funded.
